Open a console AKA Terminal shell [>_ ]

    To install:
    root@kali:~# apt-get install "package name"

    Then to run it:
    root@kali:~# "package-name-goes-here"

    or

    root@kali:~# cd /path/to/file
    root@kali:~/path/to/file# ./package-name

    Commands explained:

apt-get - a scrip that downloads applications from URLs
cd - change directory (This useful command migrates the console to a specific location)
~ - shows your directory, notice how it changes from ~ to ~/path/to/file# in blue. A tilde means you're in your home directory, root is default.
/ - tells the console to go forward (Think of it as a road. It specifies which streets to take /first street/second street/final street/destination. You keep going forward until you reach your destination)
./ - tells the console to run the file at the specified path AKA the road map

If you want to know exactly what a program/script is capable of doing you can always type "program name --help"

I hope this helped you and if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask! :)
